Maine artist Andy Woodsum has been carving song birds since 1989. He lives with his family in the state of Maine. Andy carves his birds from his home studio located in the country village of Bar Mills. Each unique bird is carved in basswood, textured with a burning pen, and painted with acrylics. A perfectionist to the core, Andy has a remarkable ability to capture the essence of the living bird.
Each bird is dated, numbered and signed by Andy. All songbirds are mounted on driftwood from the lakes and coast of Maine. Whether your interest lies in the tiny hummingbird, the perky chickadee, or the beautiful loon, Andy has something for you.
